Take A Call or Make One

Hope, we really do thrive on,
What else makes us move?
After all the pain and experiences,
How do you dilute?

This heart, such a fluke sometimes,
feeds you with so much despair,
Is it really so bad?
We ask again and again…

Dramatize, you should not, life and more,
We all have a role to play,
someone to convince, some to embrace,
Do we really try enough though?

They say you don’t get a second chance,
Fate is really kind if you do,
Our minds just give up,
What a really disobedient boo!

The last line took me completely in. This is such a thought provoking post. Very relatable. But, I am still to decide, should take the call or make one. I think I would make the call. Gives me a sense of being independent. Cheers!

Very nice! I wish our hearts had beepers that would beep every time we started sinking into negativity, and jolt us into the right perspective.

Oh, so I wish too. Thanks, Apeksha πŸ™‚

I guess it’s about being mindful and not letting ourselves be blown away by the negativity.
    Nice take on the prompt.

The last paragraph is very nice. Its very important to try hard before giving up and life will give a second chance. Fortune favors the brave!! Nice post πŸ™‚

At times, we give up easily. At other times, we give up after seeing there really is no hope. It’s hard to dilute then, but I think we have to. No other go.

It’s better than not create drama and love life in a good way, and those are really lucky who ge second chances.

When ever i gave second chance to ppl who hurt me bad, it never went good for me and ended up being hurt even more.Hence i do not believe in second chances. But i do agree on not giving up and not losing that hope and hold it high.

Sometimes it gets really difficult to get your mind and heart in the same line.. to find hope when all the heart wants us to sulk in the darkness!

Diluting hope is probably when you need to convince someone. If we disobey, or go against the set path, fingers start pointing at us. That’s a gem of a poem, Ashwini. Loved it.

Thanks so much, Sreedeep. Means a lot πŸ™‚

I felt like this poem was speaking to me. I tend to overdramatize every little thing and then in hindsight I realize how silly it was!
