The Astonishing #HexaExperience – My Journey

Drive, road trip, a bunch of like minded people and two days of absolute fun, who would say no to that, right? Yes, that happened a week ago when I got an invite from the wonderful Indiblogger team and all I could say, Yes I want to come for this experience. The #HexaExperience.

As we reached Hyderabad and then Novotel Hyderabad Airport, the atmosphere was already charged up, a few bloggers had arrived and lot of us was walking in. I knew Sush is going to be present here, we have been friends for say 5 years now, so the first thing I did is go meet her and take a picture. Even after years when you meet old friends, some things never change, yes that was the case with us as well. It was amazing meeting her after so long.

As the day turned into evening, we had to gather in the ball room for the Hexa presentation, people from the Tata team, Mr. Ashish to begin, started with introduction of bloggers and how they arrived to the idea of Hexa. This session was taken over by Mr. Richard, who took us through the entire design philosophy which went behind designing the very brilliant Tata Hexa. I was in an awe to know about one of the features – 8 JBL speakers, yes that’s right, 8. I am an intense music person and I recently got a JBL speaker so yes I knew how amazing it would sound, in fact the first thing I checked out next morning were the speakers and the effect. πŸ˜›

The presentation was followed by dinner and cocktails where there were different activities planned to entertain us, like boxing, artists were called to get our sketches done and the big surprise of Biswa coming to the gathering and performing for us. Each one of us were in splits on his jokes. The day ended with another round of shots with the amazing Tata and Indiblogger team and yes we had to wake up at 5 am in the morning and everyone was asking the other to make sure that happens. Ha!

Yes, you can stop laughing now on the fact of how funny I look in the sketch. The following morning had quite a good incentive to wake up early, as you can see the spread of breakfast, yes food first bro. All of us gathered in the garden on a chilly Sunday morning in Hyderabad having piping hot tasty breakfast. Soon we were all gathered near the cars to flag off, right at 6:45 am, one car at a time started leaving the Novotel premises.

Below in pictures you can see the beast, there were 10 cars – manual and automatic each and how thoughtful of Tata to give one follow up car with a driver and first aid box behind each car to take care of us throughout the route. It was a 85-90 km drive one way. As we flagged off, we could feel the rush inside us.

Here was my team, Swami Upendra, Vikram Kamboj and I. As we left and entered the road, cold breeze, loud music and the view were the consistent things. First one to drive was Upendra sir, he has quite a good control over the wheel. He drove us swiftly while Vikram and I sat back and enjoyed the ride discussing the specifications of the car which were explained to us the other day in the presentation. Trust me on this, it’s very very smooth, the experience was one of a kind.

We stopped through some points where we could see the opportunity to get some amazing clicks before we reached our destination – Hills Valley Resort, where there was another spread of FOOD. Yes, I can’t stop talking about food. The hospitality by Novotel Hyderabad Airport was fantastic. At this point, all cars were again quickly serviced, washed and gotten ready for all the bloggers. Here’s when the teams got to change the cars. We had got a manual one first and now was the chance to get hands on on the automatic.

I couldn’t control my excitement and started off with the real feel of #HexaExperience. This was it, the car didn’t even vibrate a single bit on 130 km/hr. Upendra, Vikram and I couldn’t stop talking about the features of the car and our experience.

This is one of my favorite shots, Hexa around the plant. I feel it gives a mix of experience of it being a beast as well as soothing. What do you think? Let me know.

Here’s a little video from my driving experience:

The interiors of car are nicely done, I love the modes which they are offering with this one. Rough, Comfort, Dynamic and Auto. With one of its kind 19 inch alloy wheels, the support and balance of the car is fantastic, we didn’t feel a jerk even on the pot holes or rocky roads.

Some of the amazing features:

  • Projector Headlamps
  • Chrome Applique on Radiator Grille
  • MID for Instrument Console
  • Touchscreen Infotainment System
  • 19-inch Alloy Wheels
  • Faux Skid Plate
  • Premium Taillights
  • Dual Exhaust Pipes
  • Premium Leather Upholstery
  • 8-Speaker JBL Audio System
  • All Wheel Drive by Borg Warner
  • Ambient Lighting for Cabin
  • ConnectNext App Control

After this amazing 170 km drive, there was an off roading experience on how this beast will never accept failure. And as we came back tired, drained and all smiles, this journey gave us a lot of good memories, happiness and the will to meet up all these amazing friends and bloggers again. πŸ™‚

I particularly loved the auto transmission, it’s actually swift and doesn’t make you realize much about the transmission. πŸ™‚
