Thank You, @Blogchatter! #MyFriendAlexa

“A story has no beginning or end: arbitrarily one chooses that moment of experience from which to look back or from which to look ahead.”  ― Graham Greene, The End of the Affair

As I look back to this entire month, I feel the best thing I have done is be a part of #MyFriendAlexa campaign. I am sure there would not have been more exciting things if it was not for writing and reading so much as a part of this initiative by Blogchatter. When it comes to expressing myself, I take up any opportunity which exposes me to more like minded people and people who would like to connect selflessly and share a common vision and goal. And this was the perfect platform to do so.

The month has ended and so has the campaign but it feels really nice to have almost 70 bloggers in touch, to know how much each of us love blogging, writing and expressing our ambitions and interests. It’s not easy to work with people, yes it is not. It takes tremendous amount of patience to deal with a team who has shown willingness to support your goal and this was a massive team and together each one of them has shown active participation to make this successful. I have met so many beautiful bloggers who are not only helpful and supportive but kind and happy. Everyone has a unique story to say, a unique experience and a unique will to make it large in this one short life.

Today marks the end, beginning of a new passion to continue being in touch with this community and take our blogs to next level. As Blogchatter believes in us, we believe in ourselves a little more. This is one community I have fallen in love with because of their selfless goal of pushing each of us to be better in every possible way and that’s what is going to take them to next level, as well. I wish the entire team tonnes of luck and love and promise to continue being a part of them because where there’s love and humility, you will always find me. Happy to connect.

A little context to the #MyFriendAlexa campaign:

70 bloggers across the country came together to participate, read, write, comment and share the content to take their Alexa rank to the next level. We all saw amazing spike in our readership, awareness, exposure and Alexa rank. Not only we got connected through this campaign, we also realized the importance of organized and passionate blogging.

When I started, on 1st September my “Alexa rank was around 49 lakhs, it even went further to 65.48 lakhs on 8th September and then the magic happened, it went down to 28 lakhs, eventually to 23 lakhs and then from 17 lakhs to 15 lakhs to 11 lakhs to below 1 million and today as on 30th September, the end of this campaign it has reached 6.02 lakhs. That’s a drop of almost 6 million. I didn’t have an Indian rank, which started from over 1 lakh and today it has reached 24, 974″ across the country. It was a beautiful experience and I really look forward to such productive campaigns in the future. Hail, Blogchatter. I love you.

I am taking my Alexa rank to the next level with Blogchatter.

  4. […] The power of community is one of my core beliefs and I have learnt it through time and experiences. Community building, getting people together, helping each other for a greater cause  and a million more things on what a community can do, it gives me goosebumps. Since season 1 was an extremely delicious experience for me and my blog, I couldn’t wait for season 2 to happen, ask Blogchatter how many times I asked when is this going to be live and when it did, my first reply was in all caps. Yes, that’s the power of this initiative. Just to give you a glimpse of my own numbers – Alexa global drop of 6 million+ and Alexa national drop of 1.5 lakhs+ was the result of only one month of regular blogging, reading, writing, commenting and sharing. Not to forget, discovering 70+ new interesting blogs, content and talented people across the country, that is nothing less than striking gold, if you know what I mean and are a passionate blogger. You can read my concluding post of Season 1 here. […]
