That One Memoir

Stream back to those times when you were young,

Younger than your sibling and the only one,

How the skies appeared colorful to you,

and walking on the grass felt so nice, unintentionally…

Flow ahead of those moments of guilty pleasures,

When you used to indulge selflessly in chocolate wrappers,

Beautiful eyes of the lady and a moon shining on her forehead,

and that trust filled palms carrying you as a non-profit…

Walk that lane of torn pages of notebooks and devoured passion,

When your passion changed every other day just because it actually could,

Bags full of clothes, shoes full of clean feet, hair full of sunshine,

and how journey met the destination so easily…

If you could ever get a chance to choose two things to treasure out of these,

Which ones will ever top your list?

The skies, the lady, the moon, the passion, the feet, the grass,

and do you ever want to measure the sweet sanctity?

This was beautiful. A reminder to not let the child within die…I still love the blue skies and walk barefoot on green grass, have a chocolate or two and passion I keep by my side too! 🙂

I would choose to feel how I feel right now , reading these wonderful lines.
You did paint a thousand pictures with your words there and nostalgia is such a warm and homely feeling.
Look forward to read more such beautiful lines by the #WordSmiths.. keep blogging and keep sharing!
