Talent, it has no limits when you are blessed with it and persevere enough to follow your dream and achieve your goal. When you recognize your talent and make it your passion, nothing in the universe can stop you from reaching where you aim to. On 17th December, I got to attend the grand finale of Max Life Young Singing Stars where 10 amazingly talented kids who were chosen as finalists out of the 1,30,000+ participants performed their heart out to achieve one final step to get into the world of their dreams.
The event started by a marvelous performance by Manasi Scott, who performed on an unreleased song named “Farmaana” and won the audience’s attention. The energy in her performance and meaning in the song of those lyrics kept us all mesmerized enough.
Followed by the performance, was an inspirational talk by Mr. Rajesh Sud, CEO and Managing Director, Max Life Insurance, where he addressed the audience in a joyful and motivational way on how they believe in nurturing young talent and bring out the best in them. He also said that he is glad that iGenius has become a benchmark initiative to recognize talent and how they are looking forward to continue for the years to come.
Next came Devraj Sanyal, Managing Director – Universal Group, who was in an awe of the talent these little kids had and how they have realized their passion at such a small age. He also said that such association gives them a true satisfaction because they are helping young children follow their dreams and achieve what they wish to.
Before the event began, a one minute silence was observed for all the students who lost their lives in the Peshawar attack.
With a big round of applause, was then welcomed the You Tube sensation, Shraddha Sharma who performed on various numbers and cast a spell on the audience with her mesmeric voice. Followed by which came the very amazing, the very talented, the one who has won the heart of millions, the very awesome, Salim Merchant.
Salim started his performance by offering condolences to the students who lost their lives in the Peshawar Attack and dedicated his first performance to them. Can you guess the song? Yes, it was Ali Maula and while he started the performance, everyone was silent and lost in the song. It felt as if that song was written for the same. Even I myself couldn’t stop myself from having moist eyes and goosebumps. After this one, Salim performed on a few hit numbers and won over the audience.
After these amazing performances, there were several rounds where these 10 finalists came and sang their heart out to win the competition. I was in an awe of how this little packets were so good at singing and how effortlessly they addressed the audience, it was just phenomenal.
After the first round of both juniors and seniors, came a power packed performance by Raaga Trippin’ who were performing without the band. All vocal but sounding like a complete band, trust me it’s not easy. They just charged up everyone in the room to almost dance on their tunes. I personally became an ardent fan of theirs.
The second round of juniors and seniors had such amazing songs as performances which kept everyone glued to their seats till the end of the event.
Then came the very amazing Kavita Seth who soothed everyone with her amazing voice and some of her best songs. This was like calm before the storm (read final results). Soon after that, the results were announced. And guess who won?
Shivam Ahuja and Shraddha Shree from juniors and seniors respectively won the competition. Very well deserved as per their performances and journey in this Max Life YSS, they definitely were worth all the fame, claps and appreciation. They got an album contract with Universal Music Group.
One of the best part of this event was to witness the beaming faces of proud parents who saw their children making them proud. Those smiles were priceless.
The event ended with cocktails and a sumptuous dinner which was the icing on the cake. 🙂
