World Poetry Day

I am because Poetry is. Yes, it is impossible to not have a post on this special day and this is a small dedication from myself to the Poetry I write. 🙂
From the first day to this moment, my words didn’t have a way,
I didn’t know you; you didn’t know me in any way,
Probably they call it a talent, I still found you as a friend,
They say it is a writing genre, I feel you’re a quiet listener..
You enrage the expression in me; You give my words a blaze,
Sometimes you dull the light in me, and then light up the dull on some days,
Why don’t you ask back from me?
I know you are an intangible but don’t you feel my pain?
I never know if you console me or burn my bruises more,
Why do I love you like a beautiful imagery and glee?
Today, I know it is a day special for you, I adore you,
I know you are listening, somewhere in that dark corner,
You are giggling, because of me,
You are smiling, because of us,
You are living me, as I am living you through,
Have you become me or I have become a subtle you?
Your existence in my life isn’t questionable,
You are wise to know your importance,
This world would have been lesser comfortable,
If you didn’t show up when tears drenched us all,
If you didn’t glow up when stars left us alone,
I know you are sobbing now, somewhere alone,
Here I am to hug you and pat your back,
Don’t forget it needs just one person to love you back,
If not anyone, today it’s me. I love you!

    What Love!
    What Love my friend,
    Words dance in glee,
    some rhyme,
    in a happiness spree.

    Blowing life into them,
    on you they smilingly
    put the blame,
    What wonder
    what a laurel game,
    without you
    they wouldn't have been same.

    🙂 🙂

    Lovely composition ashu.
    What a lovely tribute.
Poetry is blessed to have you.

    Editing my comment here…

Beautiful lines! I would rather you read it out for everyone some day. It'd be quite nice to just listen to this in someone's voice rather than just read passively.

Can't appreciate enough how much you've grown in sensibilities and grammar w.r.t. writing. I hope I can see you grow a lot more and still write in the simplistic and pleasant style that you are starting to adopt. "You enrage the expression in me" …. killer line. Very good.

A suggestion. You might want to start podcasting your poems as well. It'd be a good track change and would make your blog have diverse forms of content.
