Di- Stance

That crackled pouring night demeaning their existence
Incomplete was less a word
Cuddling in to thoughtful arms of each other
Sleeping next to each other, still at a fathomed distance..

Desires unclad, known, expressed, but the wait won
Drowning in to helplessness, both gave up, yet alive
Missing their lives, they once had, once, not even twice
A beautiful symphony of smiles though cacophony now..

Walking bare feet on thorny road, dark night, alone
Staring the stars, feeling lucky enough are they, to shine
Even when everything is mild
Still going down the lane of restlessness, they both met
Again on those crossroads, where they had glanced each other
Just a splash of revisited blushes, clinked the spark
Their fingers mingled again, never went apart
It rained again, it rained heavily, the love between them

Coexisting beauty within, blossomed, waking up in each others’ arms
Kisses exchanged, Lips wet, Kohl dried, Hair undone
Yes, the they,  they liked, ever to be
Skin brought them closer, the past was aghast..

The presumed physical touch as everyone perceived
Broke the shackles of their concerns
Their soul was inter-wined in a way no one could frail
A knot they were supposed to hold on to, not a mistake..

Distance does make the heart fonder. How beautifully you have portrayed that ashu. Brought back some memories. Put a smile. Feeling someone's absence – Sicksweet
