Ladder of Desires

Hazy vision — Weaker bones
Expectations — Still way to go
Smaller steps — Dependency retained
Ambitions High — Past so created
Silent Life — Giggles of Memories
Worked Enough — Money in vain
Not valued time — Priorities Detained
All just I want — is Fame
Positions eloped — Power I soaked
Materials achieved — Plastic happiness
Worked for Family — Tears and choked
Pressured Life — Time a sword
Group of Friends — Everyone Busy
Fun & Frolic — Saturday nights dizzy
Like a free bird — Roamed around the world
Future so not meant — For the time churned
Lunch boxes — Periods over with bells
Happiness innocent — Hugs selfless
Covered notebooks — and new Bags
Exams just — A mere magnet
Started walking — Those two important steps
Smiling faces — Pride on their face
Expectations — Still way to go
Hazy vision — Weaker bones

I guess you managed to summarize materialistic but full of expectations life..which is common at a certain stage fr each one of us if we fail to prioritize things at the right time!! Nicely put down!!

That's really how the life goes. We keep expecting, keep judging keep failing and the opposites sometimes (Also, many a times) Nicely penned down Ashu. πŸ™‚

True! In the midst of all the chaos, sometimes we forget to live. Forget to cherish the things we have. Forget to contemplate this gift called life. But yes, we learn. It's a beautiful process. If we concentrate on what we have rather than what we don't have, It's A Perfect Life. Keep writing Ashu bhai. πŸ™‚

Again, simply brilliant. I like that I travelled back and forth from being happy to contemplating that happiness.

I loved it thoroughly ashu… though I am commenting now… I've been reading this so many times since the time you posted. Just was out of words… one thing that I most liked about it that it ended with the same lines it started… have always loved that… =)
