To start with the piece I am going to present here, I would first have a question to ask you that “Are you at peace?” Now a possible thought can be Yes, No or Maybe. We all know that in search of peace we all are striving hard to let peace come within and comfort us. But sometimes there is a confusion or a series of sad situation which let you feel a bit low, out of the normalcy and you walk stray.
The aim of this article is to let you know that there are two stages/feelings in life where we feel Lifeless. One is being at peace and the other being numb and we usually confuse them with each other leading the Life as it is going. But possibly there has to be a check to where we are moving and if it needs some solution we have to work on it for the betterment of ourselves. Peace can have a lot of ways to be in you and you being an individual are different from every other being and that makes you define peace as per you. You might like going for a walk in the morning and embrace the coolness of the atmosphere, watch birds chirping and the sun rise and that might be your daily dose of peace which makes you feel rejuvenated and back to Life. This being one example, we as per our interests and having different life styles can have different ways to find contentment by doing what we love or find solace in some activities making you feel charged up. When you do such activities your mind doesn’t get distracted, you feel like you are the only one existing around and every noise is just to your deaf ears. You remain lost so much that sometimes you have to take yourself out of that situation to get back to normal routine, that is the depth of peace. It might be listening to music, taking your dog for a walk, a late night drive with your partner, writing your daily diary, talking with your family about the things happened in the whole day, watching the stars standing at your terrace and many more things. But we need to have a self check.
When you are at peace you remain lost but when you are numb you can listen to the external noises and they add up to the slog you are carrying in your heart and mind. You feel like listening to music and then you just stop it because even music disturbs you and then all you need is silence and you start thinking and the thoughts are like innumerable and they don’t stop. It’s like a vicious cycle which doesn’t stop and disturbs you so much that your routine is disturbed, you don’t get enough sleep, you get addicted to things you shouldn’t, you are not able to concentrate in things you have the foremost priority and all this leads to more difficult situations. With adding up to all the situations we feel that our Life is not going on the track and we need break. We cut off with everything we do and meanwhile we feel bad again because we are so used to some things that we cannot just think spending a day without them. Like one of the example is INTERNET these days. We have indulged ourselves so much in to this that now dependency has increased to enormous heights but we know that all we are going to say is that. “Can we just exist these days without internet?” and give a rude expression justifying ourselves to be right. Before this numbness increases you know that you have to work upon it and convert it to Peace so that you win over Life and not giving Life an opportunity to win over you, making you feel like a loser. Just a few simple steps could make it easier:
1) Proper Sleep– No matter what happens clock yourself to get up early in the morning and make this your schedule. I know this is getting tougher these days but why I am telling this is because I have experienced that the early you get up and start your day the easier it becomes to sleep at night. Obviously with an optimistic mind if you follow this I am sure you will make your sleep cycle better which will curb your useless thoughts.
2) Expose to Screens– Lessen to expose your eyes to mobile/laptop screens because the more you keep on seeing the screens the less you will be able to sleep. When you decide to sleep keep your cell phones away from you which not only keep the radiations away from your body but after a tiring day keeps you away from getting up and checking it again and again for some notifications. Silent your cell phones and keep it away when you sleep. With time you will be able to sleep soon and a better quality sleep will follow making your other day peaceful.
3) Meditate– May be in this busy schedule of Life you will say that when will i get time to Meditate and half of us don’t even know what meditation is, I tell you to meditate just for 10 minutes in the whole day. I feel you can have 10 minutes in the whole day that too in parts. 5 minutes before the sleep and 5 minutes after you get up. All you need to do is sit upright with closed eyes and concentrate on removing all the negative energy out of you like release all the bad thoughts, think upon all the blessings you have and introspect on all the things you have to do for the day or things you did for the day which made you happy and smile.
You might be thinking that it is very easy to say and tough to follow and the one who preaches should follow it too but to your knowledge i am too in the process of winning Life and it is taking time but at least i know i am trying and i want all of you to do so too. So not just considering this as a blog post, take this as a friend’s advice even if you are not known to me because when you all will achieve that would lead to my achievement.
